Here are some provisional looks at the future gardens.  These are not guaranteed to be the final version because a) they were created this past Winter and I don't really know yet all the plants that are in the existing garden beds; b) we will rely to a certain extent on donated plant materials, so I don't know exactly what we'll have in the future; and c) gardens are always changing - with the seasons, with new ideas and different opinions, with plants growing too large or not as well as you hoped...  Please feel free to email us with any comments or suggestions at Treasurer@FrancesWillardHouse.org.

This is the front-on shot of the Cottage, similar to the one on the Garden Project page.

The "before" view standing in the back yard of 1724 Chicago and looking at the Southwest corner of the Cottage.  (The Administration Building that houses the Library and Archives is barely visible to the left.)

The "after" view, with more defined, cleaner, and fuller garden beds.  The round structure beyond the maple tree in the middle is a proposed "council ring" modeled after those used by Jens Jensen.  Maybe not this year, but...

Here's a view of the back standing next to the maple and a closer look at the council ring.

"Before" approaching 1732 Chicago on the left and the Cottage on the right from the rear of the property...

...and "after".

This is a bird's-eye view of the entire property.  The bright blue areas show where we have water problems (pooling).  Don't worry, we'll get those fixed.
