o   Planted annuals used as centerpiece at Garden Tea

·         Divided and transplanted Bearded Iris from Admin Northeast to Cottage Southeast

Week of 05/09/11

·         Cut and applied herbicide to Japanese knotweed in South of 1732 and North of 1724

·         Removed vining plants North of public parking lot

o   Will generally fill in with stray shrubs  and daylilies from other areas of property until we can establish a plan for screening the parking lot

o   Transplanted viburnum from Admin Northeast to North of parking lot

o   Transplanted barberry shrub in South garden of 1724 to North of parking lot

·         Removed 2 weed trees from Northwest of 1732

·         Transplanted 1 spirea to balance East of 1724

·         Received free mountain-of-mulch from Sunrise Tree Care

o   Filled in mulch circles under maple in back center South, catalpa in front of 1724, and chestnut in back of 1724

·         Eliminated back island garden of 1732

o   Transplanted rose  to Cottage Southeast

o   Transplanted mint to Cottage Northwest

o   Transplanted indeterminate bulb-foliage plant to parking lot area

·         Removed grass growing on top of existing walk in back of 1732 to see if salvageable

o   Repaired the bottom step-off point with standard cinder block laid horizontally

·         Began weeding front lawn and garden beds

Week of 05/02/11

·         Purchased watering wand, sprinkler...and Composter!

·         Cut wide mulch circle under maple in back center South and cleared out weeds

·         Eliminated garden bed (primarily daylilies and goldenrod) Southwest of the maple and relocated 1 peony to Cottage East

·         Transplanted 21 hostas from various areas in Back to East side of Admin South of entrance

·         Cut rectangular garden bed on East side of Admin North addition and cleared out weeds

·         Transplanted 5 hydrangea into new garden bed on East side of Admin

·         Transplanted shrub from back of property to area North of public parking lot and transplanted several daylilies in same are to deter people from cutting through the property

·         Cut wide mulch circle under chestnut in back of 1724

·         Divided and moved yucca in North garden of 1724 to Cottage South garden

·         Reduced size of West garden of 1724 and created half-moon shape

·         Cut wide mulch circle under catalpa in front of 1724

·         Began removal of non-productive tulip bulbs throughout garden beds
